Merry Christmas!

My name is Alison Oertle and on behalf of the whole staff and parish family here at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, I would like to thank you for coming to rejoice with us this Christmas for our Lord has come.  He comes as Emmanuel, God with us, not only as a Baby in a manger but also as Our Savior on a cross.  He comes as Jesus Christ really present under the appearance of bread and wine on our altars.

Because of what began one night in a humble stable in Bethlehem, the true Light, which enlightens everyone has come into the world.  He shines in the darkness of our lives and the darkness has not overcome it.  God IS HERE and He calls every heart to prepare him room not only on Christmas day but everyday.  So if you have been away from the practice of the Faith for whatever reason, don't let your hearts be troubled.  This Christmas season we invite you to REDISCOVER CATHOLICISM and to come home.

To help you get started, we have purchased one thousand copies of Matthew Kelly's book Rediscovering Catholicism.  Please pick one up at the Church exits as our gift to you along with an invitation to join us Monday, January 4th from 7-9pm in McCready Hall for a Dinner of Light. Come and enjoy food and fellowship and begin to find healing, answers to your questions, and the fullness of God's light in your life once again.

If you have any questions about how to return to the Church, would like someone to talk or pray with you, or would like to RSVP, please contact me in the parish office.  I can't wait to hear from you.  You have been missed.

God bless you and WELCOME HOME!
