Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are individuals with a deep love for the Eucharist, willing to be commissioned by the Bishop to serve the body and blood of Christ during Mass. Through this ministry you are called to “Be the Hands of Christ.” Requirements to be a Minister are: 1) you must be 16 years of age; and 2) you must have completed your sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation); and as with all OLMC volunteers, you must have completed or renewed your SET training. Iron Maidens
Parishioners willing to pick up alter linens after the Sunday Mass, wash and iron them and have them back to OLMC by Wednesday.

Lectors
Lectors at Our Lady of Mount Carmel are well-spoken men and women comfortable speaking to large audiences and interested in proclaiming the word of God during Mass. Serving as a lector at Our Lady of Mount Carmel is not only a service but a gift to be shared with your fellow parishioners. Living Rosary Groups
The Living Rosary Groups honor Our Blessed Mother by praying the rosary, and we serve the church by praying for fallen away Catholics, parish convert work, spiritual and temporal welfare of Priests, Sisters, Seminarians, Deacons and Brothers. We also pray for the spiritual and temporal welfare of the parish, also vocations and our own personal intentions. There are 8 groups that meet once a month in a member’s home. Each member is assigned a special intention decade to pray daily. If you’re interested in volunteering for this ministry please contact the ministry head.

Pentecost Ministry
Parishioners to plan and prepare the parish in celebration for the Pentecost. Typically held in May or June each year, this ministry plans and prepares a Parish Novena to the Holy Spirit, and sometimes a celebration.

Sunday Childcare
Sunday childcare provides care for children ages infant to five years old. Childcare is provided during the 9am mass in the preschool building.

Ushers
An usher is a man or woman who assist at during weekend and Holy Day Masses in greeting parishioners, helping individuals find their seats, taking up the collection and keeping an orderly flow during communion.
