Our Mission
"Speak to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual song, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord."-Ephesians 5:19
A Music Minister is a vocalist or an instrumentalist, who helps to provide quality music to lead the congregation in a deeper level of worship. We aspire to create a positive, uplifting environment centered on Christ, fervent in the Holy Spirit, and rooted in prayer.
Requirements
"Praise Him with sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals!"-Psalm 150: 3-5
Our music ministry maintains a friendly environment of committed team players, devoted to our call to be instruments of God's praise and to lead others to a more intimate encounter with the Lord. We require all those participating in music ministry:
- All singers and instrumentalists are required to attend at least 75% of rehearsals.
- All singers and instrumentalists must be current their Diocesan "Called to Protect" training. For more information visit www.safeenvironmenttraining.org.
- All singers and instrumentalists must be proficient in their skill. Vocalists need to have a good sense of pitch and rhythm. Instrumentalists are required to read chord charts (lead sheets) and posses improvisation skills. Vocalists are needed in all voice ranges.
