About Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
All of our teachers have been trained in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is for children ages 3-9.
We believe that God and child have a unique relationship with one another particularly before the age of six. Each teacher shares the Word of God on a weekly basis with the class.
—Parish Formation Director Pam Myskowski
Along with their classroom teachings, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is also available for your child with Pamela Myskowski. ” With the prepared environment called “the Atrium” and presentations done by a trained catechist, the child is “called forth” in response rather than “poured in” information. The child with the catechist will enjoy meditating on the questions generated by the scriptures with the prepared environment as a development aid.
A few of the Presentations for ages 3 – 5: Practical Life Skills such as: spooning, polishing, plant care and flower arranging. Life of the Church; Altar Work and Liturgical Colors, Bible stories; The Good Shepherd, The Mustard, Seed, and The Annunciation.
