George Miller is the new youth minister involved in this ministry. He has nearly ten years experience working with teens and young adults and their families facing these challenges. He has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and is currently in the process of obtaining his license from the Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Licensure for substance abuse counseling. He will be available for appointments at OLMC with young people and parents. If you are concerned for a loved one, or think you are in need some help please call. You are not alone. Recovery is possible and many before you have discovered a way through difficult situations such as those you may be facing. If we may offer you any support and hope in troubled times, we are happy to help. God bless.

ABOUT THROUGH THE CRACKS
A ministry serving families with teens/young adults struggling with a range of issues that can challenge the very foundation of any household. Issues may include substance abuse, addictions such as (but not limited to) gambling or pornography, depression, promiscuity, or eating disorders. This list is by no means exhaustive, and is not meant to be exclusive. If you or someone you love is in pain, or just have questions about a particular matter, we here at Mt. Carmel would like to help. Often conventional help, be it advice, therapy, or rehabilitation, while well intentioned, allows young people to slip through the cracks. Our aim is to provide a program that provides families with support, responds to individual needs, affirms your strengths, and, above all, a program that will serve as a safety net so that our children will not fall through the cracks.

SERVICES
We can offer a wide array of services ranging from education and prevention to assessment, counseling and support, crisis intervention, referral to appropriate services, and follow-up care in a manner that respects your families’ values on a confidential basis. The scope of these services will certainly not fulfill every need; in some cases, this may be no more than the first step in the journey of recovery. If your family is faced with issues such as these, we urge you to take this opportunity to assess your situation, clarify what is most important to you, and decide to make a start. At OLMC, it is our sincere desire to provide stewardship for our most precious resource, our youth here and throughout the diocese, and do our part to see that they are provided with every protection and care that we can.
