Always Go to Galilee

“Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” These were the words Jesus said to the women who came to see the tomb. Go to Galilee.

Speaking of this emphasis on Galilee, Pope Francis said:

Faith always needs to go back to Galilee, to reawaken its first love for Jesus and his call: to remember him, to turn back to Him with all our mind and all our heart. To return to Galilee means to re-read everything on the basis of the cross and its victory.

At Easter, God invites us to reawaken our love for Jesus. It has been more than a month since public masses were cancelled as well as all the gatherings in the church. I think most of us have the experience to reawaken our love for the Eucharist, the Mass, fellowship, and the great treasure of celebrating our faith as a community. This struggle is hard but I think God is truly turning even the “bad things” into good. And the greatest good is our turning back to Him, our salvation.

Reread everything from the end. There are many movie series that you would actually need to see the end to know from which perspective you should watch from the beginning. It’s the same with our life. In the midst of difficult times, sufferings, or the cross we are sure that we can rely on His resurrection. His victory will always be the end of the story, maybe not in the world's eyes but in the eyes of faith. What we need is to see from the Easter perspective! This perspective brings us deep peace, hope, and strength that doesn’t come from us but from Him who already conquered suffering to bring us His life.
