A Note from Father
by Fr. Charlie Goraieb | 12/12/2021 | Weekly ReflectionDear Friends,
Inviting all single Catholic men and women between the ages of 19 and 27 to consider participating in our upcoming formation programs. The men’s is entitled Viri Virtutes (Men of Virtue) and the women’s is Feminae Fide (Women of Faith).
We understand the challenges you are facing today if you want to be rooted in your Catholic faith. Our Catholic anthropology gives us a rich and hopeful understanding of masculinity and femininity—often very much at odds with the views presented in today’s culture. But swimming upstream is not impossible when you know how to navigate the waters and if you are doing so with others.
With that in mind, these 12-week programs are designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ, what is God’s plan for men and women, some practical help on how to live your life in a virtuous and fruitful way and to be open to God’s vocational plan for you. It will also be an opportunity to meet and befriend other like-minded Catholics.
Feminae Fide begins on January 13th and Viri Virtutes on January 20th. For the course description, time and place and how to register, visit the websites: FemFide.org and ViriVirtutes.com
Happy Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Because December 12th falls on Sunday, Mary’s feast is superseded by the Third Sunday of Advent. But that doesn’t mean we can’t recognize our Mother who is the Patroness of the Americas and the one who draws us all closer to her Son.
¡Que Viva la Virgen de Guadalupe!
May God bless you and your family,
Fr Charlie
