Marian Consecration

Why Should I do a Marian Consecration?

The goal of Marian Consecration is to grow closer to Jesus Christ with the help of His mother. To do a Marian Consecration is to accept the gift that Jesus gave us of Mary as our mother to help us grow in holiness with the help of the Holy Spirit.

According to St. Louis de Montfort total consecration to Jesus through Mary is the quickest, easiest, surest and most perfect way to become a saint. If you’re looking for a simple way to be spiritually renewed, develop a deeper relationship with Our Merciful Savior, and grow in holiness, join us as we prepare to do Marian Consecration together as a community on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Friday, July 16.

When Are We Doing It?

We will start our 33-day preparation to do or renew our Marian consecration on the Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, June 13. On Friday, July 16, we will consecrate ourselves to Jesus through Mary with a Mass and consecration ceremony at OLMC Church.

What If I Have Done It Before?

Jesus wants us to renew our commitment with him on a daily basis! If you have already done a Marian Consecration it is strongly encouraged to renew it every day and prepare yourself for a deeper renewal on a yearly basis. You can choose to join us for the 33 day preparation, or just for the Renewal Mass. Either way, Jesus wants you to grow closer to him through the love of his Mother who helps us to grow in openness to the Holy Spirit.

How Will We Prepare for the Consecration?

This year we will be using Fr. Emil Neubert’s spiritual classic “My ideal, Jesus son of Mary”. This beautiful book has the format of "Conversations" between the disciple of Mary on the one hand and Jesus and the Blessed Mother on the other. It teaches us how to imitate Our Lord's filial love for His Mother, leads the soul to be an apostle in daily life, bringing others to Jesus and Mary. In a very simple way it offers a complete, practical program of life, uniting one to Jesus and Mary.

Where Can I Get the Book?

We will be handing out copies of the book on Saturday, May 29 and Sunday, May 30 of May after masses. Until supplies last, after that date you will be able to pick it up from the parish front desk in office hours. If you want us to save a copy of the book for your family make sure to register so that we can save a copy for you!

Will It Be Available in the Parish App?

Yes! We will also have an audio version of the daily readings accompanied with a brief reflection done by Sr. Monica on the Parish App.

Can I Do It On My Own or Do I Need to Join a Group?

We strongly encourage you to find someone to do it with you, pair up with a friend, join or lead a group to do the preparation leading to Marian Consecration. You will get the most fruits out of it by having someone to share this journey with. This is an ideal opportunity to share our faith and be an encouragement for each other in our path towards holiness. Reach out to family and friends, to people you serve or participate in a ministry with. Maybe it’s time to reach out to your neighbors, coworkers or that other person or family who always seats in the pew nearby to you in Church! It’s a special time to connect through our faith. And, even if you decide to do this spiritual journey on your own, you won’t! You can sing up for daily reflections, encouragements and materials through social media, flocknote and/or emails so that we can do this spiritual journey together.

Do I Have to Register?

If you are joining us for Marian Consecration on July 16, we strongly encourage you to register with us online below. You can make the choice to receive daily Flocknote reminders, weekly email reminders or just a reminder for the Consecration Mass.

Looking forward to CONNECT with all of you through PRAYER!
